Abitibi-Ouest Regional County Municipality
Abitibi -Ouest is a regional county municipality (French municipalité régional du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Quebec.
It is located in the administrative region Abitibi- Témiscamingue and consists of 23 subordinate administrative units ( three cities, 15 towns, a Canton community, two Sprengel and two unincorporated areas). The MRC was established on 1 January 1983. The capital is La Sarre. The population is 20,759 and the area of 3321.9 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 6.2 inhabitants per km ².
