Above the line (filmmaking)

Above - the-line costs is a technical term from the accountant and describes the cost of the fees of the people creatively make a film production such as script writers, directors, film composers, etc. The Honorary key costs separately from those of the total manufacturing cost must be offset. The latter are broken down in the so-called below-the -line costs.
