Abraham Nava

Abraham Nava ( born January 23, 1964 in Mexico City) is a former Mexican football player at the position of a defender.

Life

Association

Nava began his professional career at the UNAM Pumas with whom he 1989 CONCACAF Champions Cup and won the 1991 Mexican championship. Twice he played with Pumas the finals to the Mexican championship against arch-rivals América, which are both in the same municipality of Mexico City, Coyoacan, home. In 1988, América won the day and 1991 kept the Pumas the upper hand.

National

His debut in the dress of the Mexican national team celebrated Nava on 12 March 1991 in a match for the North America Cup against arch-rivals USA, which ended 2-2. His last international match played Nava on 16 December 1993 in a friendly against world champion Brazil, which was lost 0-1.

Coach

After his playing career, Nava began work as a trainer and was responsible for the offspring of the UNAM Pumas in the soccer school is now named after him. Despite its long-standing affiliation with the Pumas his relationship with the club is tense lately because he sees a crony without great expertise at work at the club tip.
