Academy of Performing Arts Baden-Wuerttemberg

The Academy of Performing Arts Baden- Württemberg ( also Theatre Academy or in short: ADK -BW) is a drama school was founded, state in 2007 on the campus shared with the Film Academy Baden- Wuerttemberg in Ludwigsburg. Offered is closely linked interdisciplinary training as an actor, director or playwright, the theater and film.

Line

Hans -Jürgen Drescher has taken over the management of the Academy in July 2011, which was previously provisionally led by Thomas Schadt, also head of the Film Academy Baden- Württemberg. Director of Studies are currently Jörg Bochow for dramaturgy, Christiane Pohle and Benedict Haubrich for acting and Thomas Zielinski, Sandra Strunz and Christof Nel as a senior lecturer in the Government. In cooperation with the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, there is the degree of stage and costume design under the direction of Martin Zehetgruber and Bettina Walter.

History

In July 2007, the establishment of the Academy theater of all factions of the parliament was passed unanimously and officially established on 8 October 2007. Support of the Academy are the state of Baden- Württemberg, the Film Academy Baden- Württemberg, the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg. For the winter semester of 2008 was recorded the study mode.

In collaboration with the Film Academy Baden- Württemberg, the new courses for theater directing, acting and dramaturgy were developed. In addition, an experimental theater was built by the city of Ludwigsburg, which is left to the Academy for Performing Arts.

Per academic year, the Academy takes up about twenty students.

  • Course Bühnen-/Kostümbild, Diploma, 5 years - in collaboration with the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart

Moreover, the film acting workshop at the Film Academy Baden- Württemberg will be held in cooperation with the Academy of Performing Arts. The course is aimed at young talents who want to expand their classically completed acting training to the professional film acting.
