The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus ( Belarusian Акадэмія кіравання пры Прэзідэнце Рэспублікі Беларусь, Russian Академия управления при Президенте Республики Беларусь, English Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus ) is the leading university in the national education system of the Republic of Belarus and the main educational institution in the system of training, retraining and advanced training of professionals in the administrative area.

The Management Academy was founded in 1991. The status of a presidential institution she received in 1995.

About the Academy

The Administration is one of the youngest universities in Belarus, offering courses primarily in the areas of economic, legal and administrative sciences. There are trained for public service professionals. Graduates may be employed in the state bodies of the Republic of Belarus, but also in private companies. Since the establishment of the entity over 50,000 students have completed the academy.

In 1995, the Academy of Public Administration was given the status of a Präsidentialakademie.

There are agreements for cooperation between the Belarusian Academy of Public Administration with the corresponding Präsidentialakademien of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova and also with the Lithuanian Institute of Public Administration, the State Institute of International Relations in Moscow, the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry and other training centers.

The Academy of Public Administration consists of three institutes.

The Institute of Management forces will provide administrative professionals and public employees into two levels of higher education.

The Institute offers people who have completed either a comprehensive school, vocational school or technical school a kind of college degree. Offered here are three sub-disciplines:

  • Public administration and law;
  • Public administration and economy;
  • Management of information resources.

At the Institute of the Public Service retraining measures for leading employees of the public service (government institutions and economic management) are also offered.

The students get the modern knowledge in the following areas: state administration, innovation management, business planning, effective forms of cooperation with foreign partners, methods for the development of foreign markets, credit and tax policy, activity of economic entities, goods and services sales, development of information technologies, development of legislation psychological methods of administration, etc.

The Research Institute for Theory and practice of public administration is concerned with the problems of methodology and with the technologies of public administration. The Institute plays a key role in internal state in the field of public administration and public personnel policy when it comes to the coordination of programs and projects within the Republic of Belarus.

The main directions of activities of the Institute are:

  • Social Studies and the cadre policy;
  • Research of structural parts of the Academy of Management;
  • Teaching process, training and retraining in the state administration.

In the Academy of Public Administration can with the doctoral ( russ. / White russ. Postgraduate ) and the doctoral degree be acquired.

The library of the Academy of Public Administration is more than 206,000 copies.

The number of works of professors and high school teachers amounts to 520 copies. In the collection of the library, the Encyclopaedia Britannica is present, consisting of 23 volumes.

The textbooks amount to 112,000 copies, magazine works consist of 33,000 copies. The listeners and students of the Academy of Public Administration are supplied to 93% with textbooks.

The Academy of Public Administration has two teaching buildings, three student residences. In addition, there are several dining halls and cafes.
