White-throated surgeonfish ( Acanthurus leucosternon )

The White-throated surgeonfish ( Acanthurus leucosternon ) or white breast doctor fish is a species of the family Acanthuridae. He is in the Indian Ocean from the West coast of Kenya to South Africa, spread to the shores of the Maldives and the Seychelles to Indonesia. It is mainly observed in the shallow water around coral reefs.

Appearance

Like all surgeonfish has a laterally flattened body with a terminal mouth and the white-throated surgeonfish. The body sides are bright blue in color, the dorsal fin is yellow. The tail shows a yellow color. The anal fin, the caudal fin and pectoral fins, however, are tinted blue. The head of the White-throated Doctor fish is black.
