Achères-la-Forêt

Achères -la -Forêt is a commune with 1232 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Seine- et- Marne in the Île- de -France region; it belongs to Arrondissement Fontainebleau Canton and La Chapelle- la -Reine. The inhabitants call themselves Achèrois.

The town is located 60 kilometers southeast of Paris. Neighboring communities of Achères -la -Forêt are Noisy- sur -École, Fontainebleau Ury, La Chapelle- la -Reine, Boissy -aux- Cailles and Le Vaudoué.

History
