Aco (musician)

ACO ( born February 3, 1977 in Nagoya ) is a Japanese singer who is at Sony Music Japan under contract. Her debut in 1995 influenced absolute ego of R & B with the single Fuan na no and their music was up to their fourth album, after which prevailed especially electropop. Most of all she was known for her collaboration with Dragon Ash Grateful Days in the single, which sold over 900,000 times. Their most successful solo single is Yorokobi ni Saku Hana, which sold approximately 300,000 copies in Japan.

Biography

ACO was born in the Japanese prefecture of Aichi and went to the Sugiyama - girls high school in Nagoya. Your first demos they sent to the label HIT STREET, until they later moved to Sony and their debut single Fuan na no published in 1995.

From 1995 to 1998 ACO published three albums and six singles, but were not very high in the charts. Only by working with Dragon Ash she gained great notoriety. However, their next single Ai Shita Anata wa Hito Tsuyoi could not benefit from it. Only the single Yorokobi ni Saku Hana, which was used as the theme song for the Suna no Ue no Koibito - tachi series and appeared shortly before her fourth album, reached the top 10 of the charts. Their next album material released in 2001 and showed an obvious change in their music away from R & B and pop. The album was produced by Adrian Sherwood, among others, and Skip McDonald. After a two year break appeared in 2003 and shortly after their single Machi irony their sixth album.

ACO founded in 2005 together with Taeji Sawai (泽 井 妙 治) the band Golden Pink Arrow ♂ in Germany. Until now only live performances were held. The first mini-album of ACO was published in 2006 and entitled Mask. This album is a musical change of direction was again fully Zugen towards the electropop.
