The Sava bridge over Ada Ciganlija (Serbian Мост преко Аде Циганлије / Most preko Ade Ciganlije ) is a combined road - rail bridge over the Sava river in Belgrade. It connects the municipalities of Novi Beograd and Čukarica.
Location
The bridge is a part of the interior of the half-ring highways leading from Belgrade to Novi Pančevo. The bridge is located south of the new railway bridge. Specifications
The architectural idea of the Sava Bridge comes from the pen of the Slovenian company Ponting, who won in 2004 in a public tender the first prize among eleven designs submitted. The unanimous choice of the winner was made by Nikola Hajdin, President of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and designer of the New Belgrade railway bridge. Construction
