Adagio (Band)

Adagio is a French Progressive-Metal-/Symphonic-Metal-Band. The guitarist Stephan Forté is the sole composer and lyricist. His style can be experienced as a technical, complex, dark and characterized by driving rhythms characterized and has recently become very solo - heavy. For their album Dominate the music still Grow Lings have been added.

History

After Stephan Forté had published as a composer and guitarist in various band projects some demos and EPs in the United States, he took off in France in 1999 the first album Sanctus Ignis on. He called the project "Adagio". Dirk Bruin Mountain, Franck Hermanny, David Readman and Richard Andersson was hired as a musician, Dennis Ward produced the album. With some new session musicians released their second album Underworld, which had significantly more symphonic influences 2003. 2003 allowed for a stable occupation of the band on tour in Europe and the United States. Concerts in Paris and Strasbourg appeared as a live album. In summer 2004, singer David Readman left the band and was replaced by the Brazilian Gus Monsanto. With him in 2004 the album was recorded Dominate.

Adagio worked since 2006 on the album Archangels in Black, which contains nine tracks ( plus an extra song for Japan). The majority of the compositions was completed in mid- 2006, the recording sessions began in the fall of 2006. However, the album did not appear until February 2 2009.Archangels In Black is also the first album that has taken up with new singer Chris Palin, the band, the Gus Monsanto replaced and normally operates at the Finnish band Essence Of Sorrow.
