Adam Arkin

Adam Arkin ( born August 19, 1956 in New York City, New York ) is an American actor.

Life and career

Arkin is the son of well -known actor Alan Arkin. His mother is Jeremy Yaffe. He has three brothers: Matthew Arkin and Anthony Arkin is an actor, Jake Wakefield 's lawyer.

Since August 21, 1999 he married his second wife, Phyllis Lyons, with his ex- wife Linda Arkin ( actress and yoga teacher ) he has a daughter, Molly (born 1987).

During his childhood in New York City, he had the desire to be an actor. At the age of 10 he studied acting at the Herbert Berghof Studio, he had his first role at 14 in the film Made For Each Other. During the 1970s and 1980s, he starred in many films such as Baby Blue Marine (1978); Under the Rainbow (1981 ) or Personal Foul (1987). For his role in the play I Hate Hamlet in 1991 he was nominated for a Tony Award. Best known he was in the 1990s through his television roles as Adam in Northern Exposure ( Northern Exposure ), and as Dr. Aaron Shutt in the medical drama Chicago Hope. For both roles, he received Emmy nominations. He was also nominated for a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for his role as Will Brennan in the horror film Halloween H20. After the end of Chicago Hope you could see him, as Max in the movie Hitch on the side of Will Smith, among others, as Walter Spencer in the series Baby Bob ( 2002).
