Adam Clayton

Adam Charles Clayton ( born March 13, 1960 in Chinnor / Oxfordshire ) is the bassist of the Irish rock band U2.

Biography

Clayton is the oldest child of Brian, a pilot of the Royal Air Force, and Jo Clayton. When he was five years old, the family moved to the Yellow Walls Road in Malahide near Dublin, where his sister Sarah Jane ( Sindy ) and his brother Sebastian was born.

Clayton attended the private boarding school St Columba 's College. He later moved to Mount Temple High School where he met Bono, The Edge and Larry Mullen Jr..
