Adam Curtis

Adam Curtis ( born 1955 ) is a British documentary filmmaker. He is currently working for the BBC.

After attending Sevenoaks School Curtis studied at Oxford Human Sciences and graduated with a Bachelor. First, he taught himself politics, before he turned to his television career. His films, which he chaired, and it contains is theses are often discussed and controversial.

Curtis received for his documentaries, among others in 2000 and 2004 the British Academy Film Award ( for The Mayfair Set and The Power of Nightmares ). As a documentary filmmaker, he was awarded the 2005 Golden Gate Persistence of Vision Award at the San Francisco International Film Festival. In 2006 he also received the Alan Clarke Award for outstanding achievement for television by the British Academy Television Awards. At the Sheffield International Documentary Festival ( SIDF ) In 2009 he was also honored for his services.
