Adam Galos

Adam Galo ( born July 22, 1924 in Krakow, † April 11, 2013 in Breslau) was a Polish historian. He was a professor at the University of Breslau ( Faculty of Education and History ). His area of ​​research was the German history of the 19th and 20th centuries and the history of Galicia.

At the University of Wrocław, Institute of History ( Instytut Historyczny Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego ) was created Ewa and Karol Maleczyński. It had been built in 1974, a research center of Germany, which was concerned with the evaluation of Silesian history and the German - Polish relations. The group of scientists entrusted with this task also included Adam Galo.

In the period from 1969 to 1972 and from 1981 to 1985 Galo headed the Institute of History at the University of Breslau.
