Adeline Hazan

Adeline Hazan (born 21 January 1956 in Paris ) is a French politician (PS).

Hazan, whose father is originally from Egypt, was after graduation Maîtrise in Private Law, was awarded the Diploma of the Institute of Criminology and graduated from the Academy of Judges. From 1980 she worked as a judge, first as enforcement judge in Chalons- sur -Marne, later as juvenile court judge in Nanterre and Paris. During this time she was also President of the French association of judges. For two years she was a consultant to the Minister of Employment and Solidarity. The Parti Socialiste she was national secretary for social issues. She was a member of the Regional Council of Champagne- Ardenne and the city council of Reims. She was first elected to the European Parliament in 1999, where she was employed until 2008. Since 21 March 2008, she is the first woman in this office mayor of Reims.
