The glands broom ( Adenocarpus ) are a genus of the subfamily of the Fabaceae ( Faboideae ) in the legume family ( Fabaceae or Leguminosae).

Description

It is broom -like, woody shrubs that are found mainly in the Canary Islands; partly also in the Mediterranean. They thrive in sunny locations preferred.

The leaves of the evergreen shrubs are small, dark green and sticky. The reichblütigen shrubs form yellow, fragrant axillary or terminal racemes.

The plants can be cultivated well. However, since they do not tolerate frost, they need to be overwintered in cooler climates in the house; the temperature should not be below a minimum of 10 ° C.
