Adikhalamani

Adikhalamani was a Nubian king who ruled in the period around 207-186 BC.

Adikhalamani is known from two sources. In the Amun and Isis consecrated the Temple of Debod in Nubia he brought to inscriptions. From the king there is also a stele from Philae.

The Temple of Debod is begun by Ptolemy IV. During his reign fell Upper Egypt by the Ptolemies from the Meroitic kings invaded Nubia and dominated this country. The revolt in Upper Egypt was only 186 dejected BC.

The Stele of Adikhalamani of Philae is one of the last extensive texts of a Nubian king in Egyptian hieroglyphics. His successor instead used the Meroitic script.

The ruler is the Pyramid Beg N9 been attributed in Meroe, but appears a Tabirqa there. Therefore, the assignment remains uncertain.
