Adil Najam

Adil Najam (* in Pakistan) is an American environmental researcher and expert in the field of climate change. He had major share of the assessment reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.

Life

Najam is of Pakistani origin.

Najam is Professor of Global Public Policy, International Relations, Geography and the Environment and Director of the " Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer - Range Future" at Boston University. 2008 UN Secretary-General Ban Ki -moon took him to the United Nations Committee on Development Policy.

Najam is one of the lead authors of the Third and Fourth Assessment Report of the IPCC (2001 and 2007 published ). He is a frequent commentator on climate change, such as around the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen ( 2009).
