Administration on Aging

The U.S. Administration on Aging ( Abbreviated: AoA; German about: Ministry department for the elderly and the study of aging ) is the U.S. Department of Health ( American: United States Department of Health and Human Services ) was assumed, and therefore part of the Federal Government of the United States. Authorities of the Federal States and the Native or research programs under the Older Americans Act ( OAA ) should be promoted out of their budget. In addition, statistical studies are funded by which needs and characteristics of an aging society will be investigated.

AoA, the Ministry department is also working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and some branches of Medicare. Johnson in 1965, 1972 and 2000 amendments to the Older Americans Act ).
