Adobe Media Player

The Adobe Media Player (abbreviated AMP) is a desktop application from Adobe Systems, whose core function is in the playback and managing web videos in FLV and H.264 format. These are the user via streaming or progressive download from multiple vendors - free of charge - as at present, for example, Comedy Central, MTV and Nickelodeon. Furthermore, the Adobe Media Player also processed locally stored FLV files.

The technical basis for the cross-platform functionality ( version 1.6 runs under Windows and Mac OS X) Adobe Media Player delivers the Adobe Integrated Runtime ( AIR).

Since late 2010, the Adobe Media Player is no longer supported by Adobe and can no longer be downloaded from the product website.
