Adolfo Ballivián

Adolfo Ballivián Coll ( * November 15, 1831 in La Paz, † February 14, 1874 in Nucchu, Departamento Chuquisaca ) was a Bolivian military, author, politician and president of his country.

Life

Adolfo Ballivián, son of former President José Ballivián, already occurred at the age of 16 years in military service and fought under the command of his father's rebel groups. His father was overthrown and went into exile. From 1847 also Adolfo Ballivián Bolivia had to leave and went to Chile and Brazil. After the unexpected death of his father in 1855 he went back to Bolivia and initially joined the army again at. He managed to unite the warring forces again, and he decided to go into politics.
