Adolphe Napoléon Didron

Adolphe - Napoléon Didron, ( born March 13, 1806 Hautvillers (Marne), † November 13, 1867 in Paris) was a French archaeologist.

Didron first studied law, but changed after he found out about Victor Hugo's novel Notre Dame de Paris, the archeology, which mainly covered the Christian art of the Middle Ages and the Christian symbolism. In 1844 he edited, headed by him until his death journal " Annales archéologiques " which is the main organ for Art Archaeology of the Middle Ages were for France. Didron 1845, established a special bookstore of Archaeology, 1849 as an institution for glass painting and in 1858 a factory for bronze goods in the style of the Middle Ages.

His nephew and adopted son Édouard Didron took over after his death, the glass painting workshop.
