ADR-Rose

The award recognized German Rose ( ADR Rose) get new rose cultivars that were planted in eleven different " ADR approval Gardens" ( trial gardens ) in Germany and about three or four years - without the use of pesticides - remained healthy and have a high ornamental value. This value properties such as fragrance, hardiness, flowering behavior and health are examined. The ADR test ( General German Rose New test ) was established by rose growers (mainly at the instigation of Wilhelm Kordes ) founded in 1950 in the German federal government nurseries. The more than 150 ADR roses that have been awarded, are particularly healthy ( without injections ) and are mainly planted in public parks.
