Adrian Borland

Adrian Borland ( born December 6, 1957; † 26 April 1999 in London ) was a British songwriter, guitarist, singer and producer.

Biography

Adrian Borland's musical output began in the late 70s with the British punk trio The Outsiders. With a new style of music and enlarged ensemble, he played with The Sound from 1979 to 1987, a seven albums. From 1985 on, he began using the pseudonym Joachim Pimento his project Honolulu Mountain Daffodils with whom he released three albums until 1991. Following his time with The Sound he began a solo career, which he initially denied having the backing band The Citizens. Incidentally, he also produced albums for other bands such as Into Paradise. He was in the middle of recording his new album Harmony & Destruction, when he crashed early on a Monday morning in London, Wimbledon railway station before a train.
