Adrien Sibomana

Adrien Sibomana ( born September 4, 1953 in Bukeye, Muramvya ) was the Prime Minister of Burundi from 19 October 1988 to 10 July 1993.

He was a member of the Unité pour le Progres National / Association for National Progress ( UPRONA ). He is an ethnic Hutu and Tutsi was appointed by President Pierre Buyoya in an unsuccessful attempt to calm Hutu, by forgiving some high government posts. Sibomana was the first Prime Minister of Burundi since 1978, when the post was abolished.
