The Advent International Corporation ( Advent ) and based in Boston is one of America's largest private equity funds with assets under management of 18 billion euros.
History
Advent was founded in 1984 by Peter Brooke. Since 1984, Advent has invested in over 500 companies in 35 countries, with 130 businesses public were realized in international securities exchanges.

In Germany Advent since 1991 in Frankfurt am Main under the cloak of Advent International GmbH active.

- In February 2007 by the chemical company Bayer HC Starck together with Carlyle

In Switzerland, Advent is, among other things involved in Dufry, an operator of duty-free shops airport.
