AerovÃas DAP
Aerovias Dap is a Chilean air carrier based in Punta Arenas, which performs scheduled and charter flights within Chile and Patagonia. There are also served oil rigs under the name of the state-owned oil company ENAP.
History
The airline was founded in 1979 and is wholly owned by the Pivcevic family. The name DAP is an acronym for the name of the founder, Domingo Andrés Pivcevic. The first flights were conducted between Punta Arenas, Porvenir, Puerto Natales and Coyhaique with a Twin Otter. The first flight to Antarctica took place on 12 February 1989.
