The Honddu [ hɔnðɨ ] (Welsh Afon Honddu ) is a river in mittelwalisischen County Powys.

It rises in the area Mynydd Epynt and flows south where it flows into the Usk in Brecon. The 18 km long river has no significant tributaries, but numerous streams flow into it. The Honddu valley follows the B- B4520 road, which runs from north to Brecon Builth Wells. The road opens up the hamlets of Upper Chapel, Lower Chapel, Pwllgloyw and Llandefaelog, all located with the exception of Pwllgloyw on bridges over the Honddu.

Brecon Castle - now a hotel - is located on the last crossing of the Honddu in front of his mouth. The last 2.4 km of its course lie wholly or partly within the Brecon Beacons National Park and Fforest Fawr Geopark of.
