Aga Khan

Agha Khan (Persian آقا خان, DMG Āqā Han) is the title of the head ( imam ) of the Muslim religious community of the nizaritischen Ismailis, Hassan Ali Shah awarded ( 1800-1881 ) in the early 19th century from the Shah of Persia and was confirmed after fleeing to India by the British. Since then this title is inherited by his successors. The third Aga Khan represented India in 1932 and 1934-37 in the League of Nations.
