Agesipolis III. (Greek Ἀγησίπολις; * to 230 BC; † 183 BC ) was the last Spartan king from the house of Agiaden. He was the son of Agesipolis, the oldest son of Cleombrotus II

When Cleomenes III. 222 BC Sparta was forced to flee, the throne was initially unoccupied. Only died when Cleomenes 219 BC, new kings were used. While Lycurgus the new king of Eurypontidae was Agesipolis, the son of Cleombrotus II, was already dead. Therefore his son Agesipolis stepped to the Government of the Agiaden. Since he was a child, his uncle Cleomenes was his guardian. 215 BC Agesipolis was deposed and forced to flee and Lycurgus seized the power of the two royal houses. 195 BC Agesipolis was one of the exiles Lacedaemonians who assisted the Romans under Titus Quinctius Flamininus in the fight against Nabis. To 183 BC Agesipolis was sent along with Arcesilaus as an emissary of the exiled Spartans to Rome. However, they were captured by pirates and killed.
