Agii Anargzri ( Attiki ) (Greek Άγιοι Ανάργυροι [ aʝi anarʝiri ] ( m. pl ). Alternative transcription Agioi Anargyroi or Aghii Anargzri ) is a Greek city north of the Greek capital Athens. Agii Anargzri is part of the metropolitan area of Athens - Piraeus. By 2010 Agii Anargzri was an independent municipality - since 1963 as a township ( dimos ) - January 1, 2011 and was merged with the neighboring city Kamatero the new community Agii Anargzri - Kamatero, where it forms the administrative headquarters and a municipal district.

Agii Anargzri bordered to the north Aharnes, on the northeast by Nea Filadelfia, in the east and southeast of Nea Chalkidona, to the south by Athens with the districts Perissos and Patisia, on the southwest by Peristeri, on the west by Ilion ( Ano liosa ) and in the northwest Kamatero. Agii Anargzri is situated in the Attic level ( Lekanopedio Attiki ). Between Agii Anargzri and the neighboring communities and cities there are no visible transitions in the settlement structure or density, comparable to the municipal boundaries in the German Ruhr area.

The city is controlled by two major routes that lead from north northeast to south-southwest, divided. The main line of the Greek railways OSE runs north- northeast ( Lamia, Larissa, Thessaloniki ) coming through Agii Anargzri to Athens. A little further east runs in the same direction the highway 1 ( European route 75) of Lamia, Larissa and Thessaloniki coming to Athens. The running north-south main street of the city, Leoforos Fylis leads directly to Omonia Square in the center of Athens.

Agii Anargzri had 1971 26.094 inhabitants ( population density 8,698 inhabitants / km ²). Ten years later, the population in Agii Anargzri 30.320 people ( 16.20% and population density 10106.7 inhabitants / km ²). 1991, the population was 30 739 ( 10246.33 inhabitants / km ²; growth 1.38% ).
