Agostino Novello

Augustine Novellus (* 1240 in Tarano, Rieti, † May 19 1309 in San Leonardo al Lago, Siena) was an Augustinian hermit and chancellor of King Manfred of Sicily.

Biography

It was from Termini or Tarano. In 1266 he was inducted into the Order of Augustinian Hermits, and was from 1298 to 1300 their Father General. His beatification took place under Pope Clement XIII. on July 11, 1759 Clement XIV confirmed the cult on 23 July 1770. Blessed is buried in San Agostino in Siena.
