Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation

The Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (in short: AEF ) was founded on 28 October 2008 by seven international agricultural equipment producers and two associations. The initiative is an independent, international industry organization. As a user, platform, it provides resources and know- how for the increased use of electronics in agriculture. Focus is first important topics in the context of ISOBUS.

The AEF is open to all interested parties from the electronics and is financed by the founding members. Around 50 companies, associations and organizations are already a member and work within the AEF active.

The AEF will provide the necessary for the introduction of agricultural electronics standards constant promotion and support after they have been developed and used by the international community, represented by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) adopted. Bringing together more than 150 countries are now represented.

Project groups

The AEF has identified seven key projects and defines who had to take immediately addressed. For each of these projects, an international, composed of nationals of the Member corporate working group is to look for solutions. These seven projects are to be:

  • Project Group 1: Conformance Test
  • Project Group 2: Functional safety
  • Project Group 3: Technical Implementation
  • Project Group 4: Service and fault diagnosis
  • Project Group 5: Automatic flow control (Sequence Control)
  • Project Group 6: Communication and Marketing
  • Project Group 7: high-voltage electrical systems
  • Project Group 8: Camera Systems
  • Project Group 9: Farm Management Information System ( FMIS )
