Agus R. Sarjono

Agus R. Sarjono ( born July 27, 1962 in Bandung, Indonesia) is an Indonesian writer, literary critic and translator. He writes poetry, short stories, essays, reviews, and dramas, France, the Netherlands, England and the United States have been published in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and various journals in Germany. His poems are included in more than twenty anthologies. Together with the German Malaiologen Berthold Damshäuser Sarjono is the editor and translator of appearing in Indonesia, " Seri Puisi Jerman " ( number of German lyrics translation in Indonesian ).

Services

Sarjono works as a lecturer at the theater studies department of the School of Art STSI Bandung and as editor of the literary magazine Horison. From 2002 - 2006 he served as program director of the Council for Art Jakarta ( Dewan Kesenian Jakarta ) operates. From February until October 2001 he was writer- in-residence at the International Institute for Asian Studies ( IIAS ) in Leiden. From December 2002 to March 2003, he was recipient of the Heinrich Böll Foundation and guest of the Heinrich-Böll -Haus in Langenbroich.
