The Asian Highway 3 (English for Asia - highway 3 ') is a range of Asian highways project with a total length of 7331 km.

Similar to Europe roads are also equipped with the designation " AH3 " existing routes. The participating States have committed themselves to raise the standard of development of transnational roads and develop for single-letter combination as the AH3 to motorway-like highways.

General

The Asian Highway leads from Ulan- Ude, Russia ( AH6 ) about Tanggu, and Shanghai, China ( AH5 ) and Laos to Chiang Rai, Thailand and the alternative route to Keng Tung, Myanmar. Both routes eventually meet on the Asian Highway 2

Southeast Asia

By mid- 2008, the north-south route of the Asian Highway, AH -3 was almost completely paved, with only a few kilometers are incomplete.

This route was funded by the Asian Development Bank and aimed to the connected economies of China, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia together. The Kunming -Bangkok Expressway, which runs through northern Laos, China and Thailand together. The construction costs amount to U.S. $ 95.8 million and was financed with a loan from the Asian Development Bank, together with funds from China, Thailand and Laos.

Previously passed the sections of dirt roads, two-lane roads at least now with an attached hard shoulder thereof are become.
