Ahlen Water Tower

The Ahlener water tower is an industrial monument and landmark of the city of Ahlen in Münster.

The spherical water tower on the 44 meter high tower has a capacity of 1000 m³. It was built in 1915-1917 to supply water to the mine Westphalia and the miners colony and commissioned in 1982 by the Gelsenwasser AG inoperative.

Today, the distinctive blue water tower on the K 27 is a listed building and is a historical example of the water supply and the development of the riveting beginning of the 20th century. Another landmark is the water tower at Gallows Hill.
