Ahmad Gianpiero Vincenzo

Ahmad Gianpiero Vincenzo ( b. 1961 in Naples ) is an Italian high school teacher and a personality of Muslim-Christian dialogue. In 1990, he converted to Islam. He lives in Rome, where he is one of the members of the community of the Great Mosque.

He studied at the Johns Hopkins University in Bologna, Islamic Law and Society teaches at the University of Naples Federico II ( Naples) and is Professor of Sociological Disciplines at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Catania ( Catania), Sicily. He is president of the Associazione Intellettuali Musulmani Italiani ( Italian Society of intellectual Muslims).

In 1st Catholic - Muslim Forum, he was one of the delegation members.

He is one of the other signatories to the original of 138 Muslim scholars signed the open letter A Common Word between Us and You (English A Common Word Between Us and You), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (English " Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... " ) submitted (13 October 2007).
