Ahmed Ezz

Ahmed Ezz ( born January 12, 1959) is an Egyptian businessman and politician. He is the owner of the industrial enterprise EZDK. He was also up to the 2011 revolution Member of the National Democratic Party ( NDP) in the People's Assembly and Chairman of the National Budget Committee. He was regarded as a personal confidant of former President Hosni Mubarak. After his overthrow and Ezz was arrested.

Ezz wanted to dismiss 4000 workers of his company and replaced by foreign workers in late 2010. This led to riots in Suez.
