Ahmed Maher (youth leader)

Ahmed Maher ( born December 2, 1980 in Alexandria ) is Israa Abdel Fattah next to one of the founders of the Youth Movement of April 6 and a prominent participant in the revolution in Egypt in 2011.

Life

He worked for a construction company in Cairo. After the 6th April, he organized several demonstrations. However, his efforts were hampered by the Egyptian security forces and internal differences of the movement. In June 2010, he helped organize a protest against the murder of the blogger Khaled Said. Maher supports a possible presidential Mohammed el- Baradei.
