Ahuroa is a place in the Rodney District of New Zealand. In the southeast of the village is Puhoi, Warkworth in the north east and the north Kaipara Flats. The North Auckland railway line runs through the area.

The North Auckland Line reached Ahuroa 1905 from Kaukapakapa. It was created for the exploitation of existing forests here. As the town had a railway station, it was decided in the late 1920s to explain the road between Ahuroa and Glorit on the West Coast Highway and secure with gravel .. Today the place is, however, no longer connected to the network of highways, the Highway runs next to the Highway 16, 10 km away Glorit

The School of Ahuroa is a co-educational primary school for grades 1-8 with a decile rating of 7 and 25 students (01 /2009).
