Aich (river)

The Aich at Aichtal

The Aich is a 30.4 km long left tributary of the Neckar and Western in the counties of Böblingen and Esslingen in Baden- Württemberg.

Course

The Aich springs directly in Holzgerlingen ( Böblingen ). It flows just north past Neuweiler, then directly south past Schoenaich and through forest book.

Then the Aich runs along the northern edge of the Natural Park along beautiful book, happened while the Betz mountain and takes shortly after the east of this mountain nearby New House ( district of Esslingen ) on the waters of the Sheikh.

Thereafter, it flows under the bridge Aichtal (B 27) through and then named after her Aichtal by the Aichtaler Districts Aich and Grötzingen. Having Oberensingen flows through that Aich opens in Nürtingen into the Neckar.

Fauna

The home Aich et al rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, barbel, grayling, dace, asp ( sporadically ), carp ( sporadically ), chub and many other species of white fish.
