The Aiguille d' Argentière is a 3'901 m above sea level. M. high mountain on the border of Switzerland and France.

First ascent was Edward Whymper in 1864, who ascended the mountains Barre des Ecrins, Aiguille Verte and the Matterhorn first. The well-known and very experienced French mountain climbers Stéphane Brosse it was 2012 's undoing.
