Ailill Angubae

Ailill Anguba [' alil ' anɣuva ] ( to welsh Ellyll, " the [very ] Other " designation for elves ) is the name of a legendary figure from the Ulster Cycle of Celtic mythology of Ireland. He is in the narrative Tochmarc Etaine ( " The wooing of Étaín " ) the brother of Eochaid Airem, king of Ulster, and its predecessor, Eochaid Fedlech, considered the father of Queen Medb of Connacht.

King Eochaid Airem is the husband of Étaín in its second life after they had been bewitched by Fuamnach, wife of Midir, out of jealousy as a creature of the air and forced to re-birth as the daughter of the warrior ETAR. But since Midir Étaín still sought after, he effected by a spell that Eochaid 's brother Ailill madly in love with her. Ailill is terminally ill because of this unrequited love, because Étaín remains Eochaid time being faithful. When she finally gives way to save his life, he falls on the night of trysts in a deep sleep and Midir comes in shape to Étaín. However, this will only go away with him when Eochaid permits. Since Midir therefore needs to change his plan, he picks up the magic and can Ailill healthy again. However, it manages to beat Eochaid in fidchell game and yet to conquer Étaín in this way yet.
