Air Wisconsin pioneered the code-sharing with United Express, its fleet operating on regional jets under the name United Express and was the largest regional airline in the 1980s. They flew as a feeder for AirTran under the name AirTran JetConnect, this cooperation was stopped in July 2004, as well as the cooperation with United Airlines in April 2006.

Air Wisconsin now flies only regional or feeder flights for U.S. Airways under the brand U.S. Airways Express after Air Wisconsin had invested 175 million U.S. dollars in U.S. Airways. It operates stations in Philadelphia, Washington National and Norfolk / Virginia.
