Aitor Larrazábal

Aitor Larrazábal Bilbao ( born June 2, 1971 in Bilbao, Biscay ) is a former Spanish footballer, who was active throughout his career for Athletic Bilbao. Larrazábal was a left-back with excellent attacking qualities, who was also known as a penalty specialist. In 13 out of 14 professional seasons, he has scored at least 1 goal.

Larrazábal went through since the age of eleven all youth teams of the Basque tradition club Athletic Bilbao until 1989 he was promoted to the Second Team (Bilbao Athletic) and debuted in the Spanish second division. His debut in the first division he made on September 2, 1990 at 0-1 against CD Tenerife. After that, he became the absolute master players in the team of the 90s and was essential for all coaches of Bilbao. The season ended 97-98 Bilbao as runner-up for the first time and you could qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
