Aivars Aksenoks

Aivars Aksenoks ( born May 24, 1961 in Riga) is a Latvian politician, minister of justice and mayor.

Life

In 1984 he graduated from the graduate studies at Riga Technical University in 2003 and law at the Latvijas Universitāte.

Until 1991 he was a CPSU member. Aksenoks was from 7 November 2002 to 9 March 2004 the Minister of Justice in the cabinet of Einar's Repše. From 29 March 2005 to 19 February 2007, he held the office of the mayor of Riga.
