Akaki Gogia ( born January 18, 1992 Rustavi, Georgia) is a German football player of Georgian origin.

Childhood

Akaki Gogia was born in the Georgian town of Rustavi. During his childhood, there was a relocation of the family to Hanover.

Career

Akaki Gogia started to play football in the youth department of Hannover 96, where he played until 2004 before he moved to the youth of VfL Wolfsburg. In 2009, he went into their second team, for whom he made ​​his first game on March 31, 2010.

Gogia joined the 2011/12 season on loan at Bundesliga team FC Augsburg. The loan agreement had a term of two years. For the FC Augsburg he made his debut in the Bundesliga on 6 August 2011 ( Matchday 1 ) in a 2-2 draw against SC Freiburg. Beginning of July 2012 was disbanded his loan contract prematurely, and he returned to Wolfsburg.
