Akhenaton (rapper)
Akhenaton ( born September 17, 1968 in Marseille ) is a French rapper from Marseille. He is a member of IAM, but has also released solo albums. His real name is Philippe Fragione. He is also known as General Hospital, Churchill, Angel Eyes or Spectre.
Biography
Akhenaton was born on 17 September 1968 in Marseille and grew up in a suburb of the city. After he discovered hip-hop in the eighties, he flew to New York more often. At this time he also met Éric Mazel, who became later under the pseudonym DJ Khéops the IAM. In 1988 he met Geoffroy Mussard ( Shurik'n ) and Malek Brahimi ( Freeman ) to know with whom he founded the IAM.
After three successful albums by Akhenaton IAM, in 1995, on his first solo album. This was sold about 300,000 times.
