The Akhtuba (Russian Ахтуба of Kazakh Ак - тюбе for "White Hill" ) is 537 km in length, the longest tributary of the Volga River in southern Russia.

It branches at Wolschski left side of the Volga River and extends from (northeast ) parallel to the main flow before at Wolodarski in the bus, another tributary of the Volga, flows, leading to the Caspian Sea. The Akhtuba is part of the Volga delta, are of the large components under protection.

The largest city on the Akhtuba is Wolschski.
