Aki Pasinpoika Riihilahti ( born September 9, 1976 in Helsinki) is a Finnish football players.

Career

The midfielder began his career in 1982 at the football club HJK Helsinki, with whom he won the Finnish Championship twice and the Finnish Cup once. In 1999 he moved to Vålerenga IF. There, however, he remained only one season, to then move to the English second division club Crystal Palace.

After a season at the 1 FC Kaiserslautern 2007, he moved to Djurgårdens IF in Sweden. In early March 2009 was Riihilahti just before a change to the San Jose Earthquakes, who blurted However, since Riihilahti did not pass the medical test. On 31 July 2009 Riihilahti signed a contract with his hometown club HJK Helsinki.

National

For the Finnish national team, he has played from 1998 to 2007 69 international matches and scored eleven goals. His first senior international, he played on 5 February 1998 against Cyprus. For the U- 21 team Riihilahti ran twice for the U-18 national team eight times and for the U-15 national team four times. His first cap for Finland, he played on 2 September 1992 against Poland for the U-15 national team.
